Wilderness Survival and wilderness safety education is the focus of this camp. Learn how to prepare and cook outdoors, build your own shelters, make fire, find water, use compass and map and a mock rescue exercise are all important to exercise our developing skills.

Millard Falls Hike

A short hike along beautiful landscapes and lots of very cool things to find in the water. The shaded trail really makes for an exciting adventurous hike.

San Gabriel West Fork River

This is a very popular swimming place during the summer months. Will be a short hike to find our perfect place to swim and also learning about environmental education on water.

Ranger Dave has always been a hit with the kids and Me. Children will be having animal interactions and also Plant ID & Ecology. We will also be having a visit from the Fire Department to talk about Wild Fires in the mountains.

Stoney Point

Not only a great place to explore, but also lots of boulder climbing and caves. We will be learning trail navigation, using radio communication and learning essential knot tying.

Switzer Falls Trail

This is truly one of my favorites as it has so many variations to the landscapes surrounding. There are multiple spots that the kids can play and swim. There is also lots of chances to see amazing wildlife.

Wolf Sanctuary Visit

This will such an epic experience for all. They will learn the importance of the Wolf and its essential role in our wilderness. Just look at Yellow Stone National Park’s history of reintroducing the Wolf after years of over culling of this magnificent animal.

Santa Anita Trails

Exploring several trails which is immersed in pristine wilderness and follows shaded water streams leading to waterfalls.  It can be a challenging hike for some, but my kids have proven they can.  The reward is outstanding.

Exploring the Gold Mine is always a hit with the kids. It also challenges them to face fears of the dark. They all succeed. Then it’s a great walk down to the river and walking up river in water. We make fish traps and make rock pools.
